VOGEL’S muesli, light cereals, porridges and snack products are all made in New Zealand.

This means that local people are producing our cereals right here in Auckland, under New Zealand laws and conforming to New Zealand quality standards designed specifically to meet the needs of very discerning kiwis. Our staff take the utmost care to create an top-notch product because they’re Vogel’s consumers too.

Producing locally allows us to more closely monitor the quality of all the raw ingredients from the moment we receive them, right through the production process.

Vogel’s philosophy is to use a wide range of natural ingredients and our cereals are special because we combine many varieties of grains, seeds fruit and nuts. Our range contains lots of New Zealand grown ingredients. The main ingredient in all of our products is grains. We source Oats, Wheat, Barley & Rye from Southland and Otago where soil and growing conditions are ideal.

In addition to these and other New Zealand ingredients, Vogel’s cereals use a variety of ingredients from around the world. Kiwis love the taste of tropical fruits and nuts but we simply don’t have the climate to grow them. As seasons change, so does the source of our supply, which may include Asia, Australia, Europe and North America and the Pacific Islands. This diversity provides interest to our lives & diets. To ensure they meet Vogel’s very high standards, all our suppliers must meet strict quality criteria and even undergo independent audits if required, no matter which farm in whatever country they are located.

Vogel’s are constantly creating new products with great tasting local ingredients. We recently released Dark Berry Blend muesli which is made with crushed blueberries from the Waikato and Nuts, Glorious Nuts Otago Apricot & Peanut with tangy apricots from Otago and chewy South Island oats.  If you have know of any other local ingredients you would like to see in our products, please let us know... we would love to hear from you!
